What a great day for all the Champion’s who came out and played at yesterdays event.

The morning started off bright and early as Coach Jon and Coach Billy held fantastic clinic for 17 Champions members and families.  Using the first two holes at Suncoast the group followed Jon and Billy around learning many of the dos and don’ts of tee and greens etiquette.    There were lots of laughs and fun as everyone learned through their mistakes!

Then it was back to the clubhouse for a putting contest where, Ron Witte and Lemar Williams tied for 3rd, Logan Schanie was 2nd and Lukas Nabergall was first.  Congratulations to all who entered.

A few hours later and a few miles away the Champions were getting ready to tee off the Stoneybrook Golf Club.  Today the Champions played from the white tees, which made for a 6,555 yard day!  The summer heat was upon the field and so was the action on the links.   Mason Fox (12u shot) an excellent round of 90, while in the 14u division Connor Lynch took top honors with a low score of 80.  Just behind him, Michael Visacki had an 84, with Vincent Franke and Joseph Fabec rounding out the 14u field.  Jordan Pritchard in the 18u division recorded a low score of 88 with Thomas Ganey coming in second.  Shannon Bock (Florida Gulf Coast) took top honors in the girls college divisions, while David Tyson (Florida), Nathan Picket (Florida Institute of Technology) and Sean Pittman was third from (University of Central Florida).
