
Education Program
Initial Assessment Survey - This survey will be administered
by a Champions PGA/LPGA professional in order to distinguish where the junior golfer should be placed in the program (beginner,
intermediate, or advanced).
2. Proper Equipment Measurement - This module
addresses the often overlooked area of how to choose proper equipment. Junor golfers will learn the importance of using
the right equipment for their age, size and strength which in turn will help ensure their enjoyment and success in the game
of golf.
3. Rules of Golf - Covers the basic rules of golf for the beginner,
intermediate and advanced golfer. Proper golf etiquitte will also be addressed for all juniors.
4.
Why Be Fit? - This section includes three modules focusing on the benefits of physical fitness, mental fitness
and the importance of proper stretching (preventing injuries, improving your game).
5. Life
Skills - Incorporates modules stressing self discipline, sportsmanship, proper mindset (concentration, mental toughness)
and life success (transferring golf lessons).
6. The Next Setp - This innovative
module offers three components. First is Preparation for the college bound senior. Second, choosing the right
coach/instrctor. Third is an open Q&A session for parents where they can spend quality time with professional and
coaches to discuss the important and relevant topics unique to their situation.
7. Tournament
Protocol - Juniors will learn the basic aspects of participating in a tournament. Module will cover anticipted
costs, travel, what to expect and how to act.
8. Florida Sports Foundation
- This section will touch on the Florida Sports Foundation and the important role it plays for junior golf in the state of
Florida.
